Introducing our Worry Monster Activity – a compassionate and creative way for young minds to navigate and express their emotions. When feelings of worry or sadness arise, children can turn to their personal worry monster page. Whether through heartfelt words or imaginative drawings, they can articulate their emotions in a safe and non-judgmental space. They are encouraged to share these worries with a trusted individual, fostering connection and support. Participants can also add vibrant colours, symbols, and decorations to personalise their monster, transforming it into a comforting companion and unique representation of their feelings. This activity promotes emotional well-being by reminding children that it’s okay to share their feelings and that they are not alone.
The download includes 10 beaufully designed watercolour Worry Monster worksheet pages and 8 cute Monster colouring pages, a detailed description of what to do, a clear materials list with a few optional extras. It also includes a few questions you can ask your child to help with engagement. Also included is a short explanation of how this activity may help with emotional regulation and resilience building.
Parent Tip: To reduce paper waste set your printer to print 2 pages per sheet this will reduce the nunber of pages being printed.
